Our services include tiered subscriptions, guide connection assistance, partner ticket information, and educational content aboutese garden symbolism and etiquette.

By accessing our services, you agree to use them respectfully and in accordance withese cultural norms, temple regulations, and garden preservation guidelines.

Account Registration and Responsibilities

You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account and maintain the security of your login credentials. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account and must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

Accounts are for personal use only and may not be shared, transferred, or used for commercial purposes without our written consent. Multiple accounts per user are not permitted.

Subscription Plans and Billing

Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law. Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance, and you may cancel before the change takes effect.

Automatic renewal can be disabled in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you retain access to paid features until that time.

Intellectual Property and Content Rights

All content, including garden route maps, cultural explanations, audio guides, and imagery, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may use our content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of our content requires written permission. This includes sharing route maps with tour groups, using our imagery in publications, or incorporating our cultural insights into other commercial services.

Guide Connections and Partner Services

We facilitate connections with local guides and partner temples but are not responsible for the quality or availability of third-party services. Cancellation policies vary by provider and will be clearly communicated during the connection process.

Guide fees, temple admission costs, and other third-party charges are separate from our subscription fees. We may earn commissions on successful connections but do not mark up the prices you pay.

Acceptable Use and Conduct Standards

You agree not to use our services for any unlawful purpose or in ways that could damage, disable, or impair our systems. This includes attempting to access restricted areas, reverse engineer our software, or interfere with other users' experiences.

Respectful behavior is required when visiting gardens and interacting with guides. Violations of temple etiquette, photography restrictions, or cultural norms may result in service termination.

GPS Navigation and Location Data

Our GPS features require location permissions and may not function properly in all areas due to signal limitations or device restrictions. We are not responsible for navigation errors or any consequences of following our route suggestions.

Location data is used to provide relevant content and improve our services. You can disable location sharing at any time, though this may limit functionality of certain features.

Service Availability and Disclaimers

We strive to maintain continuous service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. Garden access may be restricted due to weather, ceremonies, or conservation work.

Cultural and historical information is provided for educational purposes and reflects current scholarly understanding, which may evolve over time. We work with experts to ensure accuracy but cannot guarantee completeness of all content.

Liability Limitations and Risk Acknowledgment

Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for services in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.

Garden exploration involves inherent risks including uneven terrain, weather conditions, and crowded spaces. You assume responsibility for your safety and should exercise appropriate caution during visits.

Account Termination and Service Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, non-payment, or behavior that threatens the safety or experience of other users or garden sites. You will receive notice when possible, except in cases requiring immediate action.

Upon termination, your access to paid features ends immediately, though you may retain access to free content. Data deletion follows our privacy policy timeline unless legal requirements mandate longer retention.

Legal Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed byese law, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kyoto. For international users, we will attempt to resolve disputes through good faith negotiation before pursuing legal action.

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.

Terms Modifications and User Notification

We may modify these terms to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. Significant changes will be communicated via email and through prominent notices in our application.

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms. If you disagree with changes, you may cancel your subscription and discontinue use of our services.
